Wanting to enter a sprint thats in a couple of weeks and had a look at the classes and not sure what class to enter the car in- its a 1968 car with a 1598 crossflow in it. Road registered and full cage. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Ive had a look at the MSA yearbook and can see it in different classes.

The MSA does not specify the classes, only the general categories.

Most likely a Davrian fitted with a Crossflow would run in Sports Libre.

However, depending on the event you enter the age may allow it to run a "Historic Sports and Saloons" type class if run by the organiser.

They have a7, classic and thoroughbred cars - cant even find that in the blue book!!!!

Sports libre sounds fine to me!

Thanks for your help - will enter sports libre and see if we get moved!

As I said The MSA do not specify the classes, there are no classes listed in the blue book.

The Classic an Thourghbread class is defined by the Scottish Championship regulations which you can find on this site. Click on the banner at the top and follow the links.

If it is road legal and a confirmed 1968 car with period mods, A7 would be a good place for it. It will be great to see a genuine Davrian from that period out.

After car standing in for our Time Attack Championship car at Angelsea last month, (and coming Third in class on the Saturday!) (couldn't run on the Sunday as on Saturday the bonnet flew up, hit the windscreen and badly cracked it) - we've entered in the Classic Sprint at Kames this coming Sunday - very excited as never been to Kames!

Heres a couple of pics of the car at Angelsea

........ thanks Eric!

very disappointed, today was a washout - track flooded and despite massive efforts from lots of people, it just wasnt enough :( and the day was abandoned :( . Now going to have to wait till next year.

We've entered in the Lowland Sprint Championhsip - didn't make first round last weekend but will be at the next round at Kames (having to do minimal rounds due to our Darrian out competing elsewhere)..... anyway, I've entered class C2. Car has a 1598 crossflow engine - is anyone able to give me advice that that is the correct class. I've entered myself - a total newcomer as I am normally Chief Mechanic! and never been on a track apart from as a passenger. I know I will be the slowest out of everyone but looking forward to having a go!
