Hello to all.

I am picking up a little 106 Rallye on sat.

It's been raced in class A1 in the past so should be ready to go.

I stay in Kintore so not far to Fintty and Alford.

Spec of the car is its got a cage, race seats and harnesses, some updated suspension bits, exhaust and a GSXR throttle body kit..... I think this is acceptable for class A1 as induction is free according to the blue book.

It's got a full interior still fitted no engine mods.

This all came about after competing in the granite city rally the other week as co-driver. We where in a Mazda 323 4wd turbo 1.6, so we where totally outclassed in our class competing against scoobys and Evos etc.

It was our first event and started seeded 109 and finished 79th out of 120......we also won best Aberdeen newcomer driver and navigator! So I have caught the bug big style and ant to drive as well now.

New motor as of next sat

Hope to see you all soon at events

Welcome. You will find Hillclimbing and sprinting folk really friendly.

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of lowest price is forgotten

Welcome from a fellow Kintore resident. I'd love to compete, but lack of funds and time relegates me to taking photos at events for just now.

Was this yourself on the Granite?

Yes! that was us!

Good picture!

it was a fantastic day, infact it was quite intence the few days running up to the rally!

we went to a pre scirutaneering shakedown rally at conyhatch farm.

Two laps in and the clutch failed! This only hours before we where due for scirutineering!

So i organised to have a late sign on in the morning etc and took the car home, we dropped the engine, shafts came out, removed Gearbox bell housing, and changed out a sheared screw in the release bearing, then all went back togeather, we didnt finish untill after 1am the moring of the rally.

It was all a bit close for comfort to be honest but actualy finishing and picking up silver wear after that was an immense feeling.

it'll be good to have a few more in A1 been a bit quieter there.

metro has a new ecu so hopefully back to full power this year, looks like i might need it

i was on the start line of stage 4 at the granite, dont remember the car though

Welcome to the speed-scene. Tidy looking little motor, and sits nicely on its tweaked suspension. Good luck and have fun.
