Hi folks, looking to find out more about Scottish Sprint and Hillclimb. I'm the new happy owner of a Mallock Mk32b with a rear mounted redtop lump. Not sure what class this would go in, suspect C6? I hope to catch the events in September and plan ahead for next season.

I'm a member of SMRC, is it possible to signup here with it ?

Not new to motorsport but new to hillclimb and sprints, I've done a season of Scottish FF1600 last year and will hopefully do more of it on the side.

Assuming the Mallock is a 2000cc Red Top, then it would be C3 (Sports Libre Cars over 1800cc). Racing cars are open wheeled, single seaters.

hehe, hello Eric, thanks again for the number backgrounds! The engine cover of the FF was still wearing them when I parted with the car.

Hi Chip!

Be good to see you out at an event!

I'm back out (in an S2000) road car for the time being and planning to catch all the events till the end of the season so hopefully see you there.

Dave

Hey Dave, great stuff indeed, I hope to make either Doune or Boyndie in September for my debut. Will definitely see you around more next year! ;)

I'm yet to brave (read. get permission from the wife to do...) Doune but hoping to be at Boyndie.

Cheers,

Dave

Yeah, to be honest I am a bit the same in terms of permissions as I got a day of testing at Silverstone on the 23rd of September. Would require a lot of brownie points to be able to afford all 3 events so Doune is the more likely one so she can go shopping in Sterling spending my money. Funny how that works.
